Aberdeen, Banff & Kincardine Area Golf Competition.

Eleven players stepped out on a sunny but windy day to compete, and all thoroughly enjoyed their day. At the end of the competition, they were invited to Turriff Legion for soup and sandwiches. The Area President, George Cruickshank MBE gave them a warm welcome, and handed over to the Area Secretary, Matt Fyfe. Matt announced the winners and invited the Branch President Ishbel Addison to hand over the trophies. The winner of the Scratch competition was Mike Singer of Turriff Branch, and runner-up was Brian Rae from Oldmachar Branch. The handicap section was won by Ian Singer of Turriff Branch, and the runner-up was Manjit Singh of Banchory Branch. All the competitors were heartily thanked for their participation in the competition and Matt stated the importance of getting more members involved in the Zone and Area games, as it is a vital part of the Legion activities.
